In stipulations of encounter, that comes into play primarily in the interview stage. So my recommendation would be to do research into the schools you are interested in and see how they choose which students receive an intervew. Focus on getting the interview and the encounter will help you in the interview.

    Hope that helps.

Your GPA will certainly be the largest obstacle in stipulations of medical school entrance. A splendid MCAT score can help to offset it somewhat. But, you will need to check with the individual schools to see how they weigh each criteria.

and ive been a Medical Practice Manager for 5 years. Ive volunteered in hospitals in view of the fact that the age of 12, and have alot of encounter.

My main concern is my GPA and MCAT score. I wanna score 10’s as my goal… Its been at least 3 years in view of the fact that ive taken any hardcore science courses, and i never took Microbiology, Genetics, or Orgo 2. As a health science major, I took A&P1&2, Bio 1&2, G.Chem 1&2, Phys 1&2, and Anatomy w/ Cadaver, and Physiology w/ Cadaver (500lvl).

I know you get this alot, but how much does encounter have to do with acceptance into medical school? Im a post Health Science Graduate with a by and large GPA of 3.3, and science gpa of 3.0. Ive been working in the medical field as an EMT and Medical practice..

Every school has its own method of calculating GPA so you will need to contact schools you are interested in.

Some schools take courses from all years, some take the last 2 years, some have a weighing formula.

So it varies greatly which makes it vital to contact individual schools.

    Hope that helps.

I have taken 11 classes post-graduation at a community college with all A’s, my question is, would that help my GPA or not? Its a uncommon school. Thanks in advance for your answer

  9. Mark says:

I recommend responsibility as much as you can to fluff up your GPA. Maybe retake courses or take extra simple science courses, but work really hard. If you can show improvement and get serious, you’ll be well off regardless of your mcat score.
