I would also like to know if the practice tests really prepare you for the MCAT?

you dont pass the MCAT. It is a placement exam like the SAT or ACT. you can take it manifold times and uncommon schools have a uncommon score ordinary.

Like HArvard will accept only near 40 scores while maybe a no name med school would accept a MCAT scor of 25-30.

Practice tests are part of preparing, but you need to examine up on the underlying content as well. A lot of test prep courses have strategies that can increase your test taking abilities too. The MCAT is not a pass/fail exam. But, the average student accepted to a MD program had a 31.5, with DO schools having an average of about 27. The average MCAT score is usually 25 give or take a point. The top schools (including Harvard) have an average of about 36, not 40. Washington Academe is the one exclusion, with an average of 37.5
