What was the old MCAT scoring system?

Out of how many? In like the 80’s and early 90’s
So was 12 a excellent score?

    It’s always been out of 45, 3 sections of 15. Back in the 80s, though, it went 1-12, then “13-15″ was the highest score on an individual section. The theory was that the variation between a 13 and a 15 is so small at that point- often single questions- that it’s hard to differentiate them.
